Smartbiz is a mission-driven fintech that helps underserved small businesses access financial capital. The multi-sided business consists of an online lending marketplace with a guided application flow for borrowers, in addition to underwriting and packaging services for banks.

My Role & Contributions

As a Senior Product Designer on the Loan Processing & Funding team, I was responsible for improving the application review experience for internal and bank users. I owned the end-to-end design process for several new workflow tools that leveraged AI and automation to help reviewers complete tasks with more accuracy and efficiency.
